Tammy and Tiffany, a bright and determined American couple, reached out to me with a beautiful dream: finding a home on the Amalfi Coast, specifically in Salerno.
This wasn’t just a random spot on the map — they knew the area well, having traveled there many times and even gotten married on the coast. For them, this place was more than a destination. It was where their hearts already felt at home.
They had done their research, read articles, explored maps — but they needed someone they could trust to turn their ideas into a real, structured plan.
More than just tourists or investors, they were looking for a way to live Italy — not from the outside, but from within.
Their Main Challenges:
- Understanding the local market and finding a home that matched both their lifestyle and investment expectations.
- Overcoming language barriers and navigating Italian bureaucracy, which is often anything but straightforward.
- Managing everything remotely, without feeling out of control.
- Building a reliable, trustworthy team of professionals to support them throughout the journey.
How I Supported Them:
I guided them step by step, creating a custom strategy tailored to their goals.
We worked together to identify the right properties, spoke with local agencies, reviewed every legal and contractual detail, and built a clear and realistic plan.
I handled communication with agents, technical professionals, and the notary, making sure they felt informed and empowered at every stage — even from overseas. Every document was explained, translated, and shared with full transparency.
And yes, even the process of obtaining a tax code — a seemingly small detail — became one of the most memorable parts of the journey…
Fun Fact:
We spent two whole months trying to get their Italian tax code through the Brescia tax office — sending emails, calling them by phone, waiting on unanswered emails, going in circles.
In the end, we went in person to the territorial office in Maiori.
Total time to get it done? Twenty minutes.
Lots of laughter, a shared sense of victory… and another piece of the puzzle complete!
A Special Project
Their journey wasn’t just a technical process — it was emotional, deep, and full of meaning.
We shared moments of doubt, joy, change, and excitement.
We were lucky to work with Andrea, a serious, reliable local real estate agency that truly believed in teamwork.
And somewhere along the way, what started as a professional relationship turned into a friendship built on trust.
Now, we’re just one step away from the finish line — and if all goes as hoped, this May we’ll celebrate together with a toast overlooking the sea.
You have made this process so easy for us. We know our dream of buying home in Italy would not be possible without your help.
