When Pavy and Kari first contacted me in December 2024, they had an idea in mind: Torino. They had even planned a trip for January to explore the city.
By coincidence, I happened to be in Turin myself at the end of December — which gave me the chance to experience the city’s dynamics up close and align with their vision from the very beginning.
From Turin, our search began. We moved on to the Langhe, a region full of charm, but it didn’t quite feel right yet. Step by step, search after search, we narrowed down the area: the Lombardy lakes — Iseo and Maggiore.
In May, we started viewing properties. That’s when we discovered it: a stunning historic palazzo near Lake Maggiore. The very first moment we stepped inside, it was clear this was something extraordinary. I sensed it immediately — they did too, perhaps — but it wasn’t the right moment yet.
I never push. I always say: if it’s the right house, it will wait for you.
And so it did.
In July, we returned for a second visit. That time, the revelation came. The grandeur, the history, the atmosphere — everything fell into place. Negotiations began, the offer was accepted, and the journey moved forward.
